About the Coach

Lela Crawford is the head coach of the girls' varsity basketball team. She has been the JV coach for the last five years; the 2022-2023 year will be her first year coaching the varsity team.
She graduated from Tipton High School in 2014 and played on the varsity basketball team for four years. In those four years, they won one Hoosier Conference Championship, three Sectional Championships, and a Regional Championship. She went on to play both basketball and golf at Indiana University Kokomo.

Who is eligible to join?
Girls in grades 6-12 can join their respective building's basketball team, but the varsity team is for high school girls (grades 9-12) only.

What are the team's goals?
Coach Crawford is excited about teaching girls how to play the game of basketball, focusing on fundamental skills, and playing for the love of the game.
She wants to continue the winning tradition, help the students grow as athletes and people, and have fun!
